Damp detection

Non invasive survey for damp detection

Identification of damp problems in a building

Older buildings are often prone to areas of dampness.
Over the years, buildings may have been altered in a way that allows water to seep into the fabric of the building. Flat roofs are prime candidates for failure
as the membrane used starts to crack or perish.

Also air vents and breather pipes may have been covered over. The consequence of this is that stale, damp air inside the building cannot naturally be vented to the outside.

It could also be the case that any damp proof courses that were originally installed may have become ineffective, or they may not be a 'damp course'in the building.

A simple, cost effective, thermal imaging survey will expose and pinpoint any areas of water and dampness that may not be visible to the naked eye.
Remedial action can then be taken where required.

Flood restoration Monitoring

Should the un thinkable happen and your property is damaged by water from an internal leak, or external flooding where water has entered your property, Thermal imaging Surveys are very effective in monitoring the drying out process. Any moisture that is still trapped withing the fabric of the building can easily be seen so that driers can be positioned for the maximum efficiency and reduce drying times and costs.
